Rally for Our Rights!  Let the Forest Service Know It's OUR National Forests

On Thursday June 18 at noon EST, citizens will gather at the Forest Service Southern Region Headquarters to speak out on attempts to remove the public's right to be heard on the management of our National Forests. We are in danger of losing decades of hard-won rights to have a voice on how our 188 million acres of National Forests are managed.  The Forest Service proposed to end public comment, and thus, legal recourse on its decisions that affect everything about our forests, from timber cutting to recreation to biodiversity. Now is the time to speak out before our rights are taken away.  America has a rich history of grassroots participation in our public lands trust and we cannot lose these valuable rights.  Come join us and be heard.
8What:  Rally for Public Involvement Rights on National Forests
